Hurricane Shutters & Screens
The addition of hurricane shutters protects the openings in your home from hurricane force winds and, more importantly, flying debris. From basic storm panels, to remotely operated slat rolldowns, we carry a full line of shutters to meet any need. Our company locally fabricates most of the products listed below, eliminating delays and the middle man. We also fabricate for other shutter companies in the State of Florida. We are happy to answer any questions and, if needed, to come out to your home at no charge for more detailed information and free estimates.
ACCORDION SHUTTERS
These shutters are permanently mounted to the building. To
use, simply pull them closed from both sides and lock them.
Because of the key lock mechanism, these shutters are excellent
for security protection as well as hurricane protection. Accordion
shutters are made of aluminum, and are more expensive than
panel shutters, but less than most other types.
COLONIAL SHUTTERS
These shutters are permanently mounted to the building.
Like bahama shutters, colonial shutters add a distinct architectural
look to the home. When severe weather approaches, simply unlock
the left and right sides from the wall, close, and add a horizontal
reinforcement bar. Colonial shutters are made of aluminum,
and are one of the most expensive types of shutters.

BAHAMA SHUTTERS
Also referred to as "Key West shutters",
these shutters are permanently mounted to the building. Bahamas
are unique in that they provide a constant source of interior
shading against direct sunlight, while still allowing you
to see outside. In addition, they add a distinct architectural
look to the home. When severe weather approaches, simply lock
the shutters flat against the wall. Bahama shutters are made
of aluminum, and are available in either the heavy duty hurricane
model, or the less expensive storm model. (The storm model
still provides the decoration and shading, but is not designed
for hurricane protection.)

PANEL SHUTTERS
These panels are installed only when needed, and take up far
less storage room than plywood shutters. They are the least
expensive type of shutter, but require the most labor to install
and remove. Panel shutters are available in galvanized steel
or aluminum. Steel is the least expensive, while the aluminum
is lighter and easier to handle.
ROLLDOWN SHUTTERS
These shutters are permanently mounted to the building. Roll
down shutters are housed in a box above each opening and ride
up and down in a track on either side of the opening. They
may be manually operated (through the use of a crank rod)
or electrically operated (simply push a switch on your wall
- the motor does the rest). These shutters are excellent for
security protection as well as hurricane protection. Roll
down shutters are made of aluminum, and are one of the most
expensive types of shutters.

WIND SCREENS
New to the accurate family of products, we are pleased to
announce becoming an authorized dealer of the Force 12 wind
screen. These screens either store away when not in use, or
can be tube mounted above an opening for regular use against
wind and rain. Wind screens are ideal for lanais and large
front entryways, as well as commercial buildings, fire stations,
storefronts, etc. They work by deflecting flying debris before
it strikes the building. The extremely strong yet flexible
fabric provides an effective barrier against the elements
while allowing outward visibility and easy entrance and exit.
Wind screens are made from woven polypropylene, and are similar
in price to accordion shutters.
