Garage Doors
A hurricane rated garage door will remain in place under much higher wind pressure than a non-rated door when a hurricane hits. The garage door opening is normally the largest opening of a home and when a garage door caves in or comes out all together, the amount of wind pressure that comes into your garage is capable of ripping the roof right off of your home. This is due to the standing air in the garage being instantly converted to a hurricane environment. The roof is often not able to withstand the lifting force from underneath caused by this rapid transition. Different parts of Brevard County have different hurricane code requirements for garage doors. Ideal® Model 6RST
Our standard door is constructed of 25 gauge, hot-dipped galvanized steel with a baked-on enamel primer and finish coat. An ideal choice for a solid, basic garage door, this model provides ample protection against the elements and hurricane force winds, while also allowing for customization through window options. This model comes with a 10 year rust warranty. Colors available: white, almond, brown, and sandstone.
DAB Hurricane Master®
They don’t call this door the “Hurricane Master” for nothing. Straight out of the box, the DAB Hurricane Master is Dade County rated: the highest level of hurricane protection available. This door comes standard with an industry unique, patented Interforce™ Structural Reinforcement System which makes it able to withstand extreme wind velocities, while running smoother and quieter than most other doors. The 24 gauge hot-dipped, galvanized steel door offers premium protection against impact from debris. A baked-on primer undercoat is applied to both sides of steel to protect against corrosion. A transferable lifetime warranty against rust is unique to the industry and provides an extra measure of quality assurance. Colors available: white and almond.
Gadco Freedom Model 9001®
Mother Nature has finally met her match! The Freedom Series door is the stress-free, rust-free choice for beachside living. This 140 mph rated, high density polyethylene (HDPE) door offers superior construction, and a lifetime warranty against rust. The door sections never need painting, and easily endure the Florida heat and sun without fading. Rustproof construction gives the Gadco Freedom 9001 exclusivity within the industry. This model includes fully insulated polyethylene panels housed within rigid aluminum framework. Weatherstrips are placed between the high density sections and panels. Gadco Country Freedom Model 9004®
